My best friend posted this video on my Facebook wall and dedicated it to me (long story why she did it). The video depicted the crazy cycle of relationship. A must-watch for everyone. :)
My short vacation is finally over. Spent four days in the mountains of Mindanao. Mt. Kitanglad-Mt. Dulang-Dulang traverse, done! More about K2D climb (and the story about the 'out of order' sign) on my next post. :)
We went with our friends to climb Mt. Irid last weekend. This served as the 2nd leg of our training for a major climb this coming Holy Week. We should have already climbed this mountain way back in January but we went for Tukduan Banoi instead. See selected moments from our climb in Mt. Irid:
Me on the summit: It took us around 3 hours to reach the top. We needed to be extra careful since there were rocks and boulders along the trail.
Rafflesia flower: Also called the 'corpse flower.' But I didn't sense the smell of death at all. Maybe because the flower was already withered.
View from the summit: Sierra Madre in the distance.
NiƱa Sandejas, a professional photographer, tweeted her comment about the video: "Okay na sana yung ET video ni Katy Perry until they showed her 'legs' in the end & flashbacks of d movie SPLICE enterd my head! Eww!" ---LOL!
Nevertheless, Katy Perry is the most beautiful alien to exist.
I found another interesting artwork online! This group of artists gave new takes to old brand logos. Got this feature from the group called Dorothy which according to their About is “a collective of like-minded people working on unlike-minded ideas.” What these artists did was strip popular brands of their names and left only a few important details. Funny thing is, I think most us can still figure out what brand it is even with just its basic element like color and graphics.
Kodak!
Chupa Chups!
Mastercard!
Coke!
And I think these are proofs that these brands have become household names; consumers could relate the smallest detail to the whole brand. :)
Last weekend, I went to the Veterans Memorial Hospital to visit my grandmother.
She was in the ICU. She had stroke and she hit her head which caused half of her body to be paralyzed. The name of my lola is Esperanza but us, grandkids, call her 'Lola Pang.'
And the sight was so saddening. My tears fell as soon as I saw my lola.
